Among polyamides, normally called nylons, we distinguish different types. The most important ones are: PA 6, PA 66, PA11 and PA 12. The differences in physical properties among these types are mainly caused by their composition and the structure of the molecular chains.

STANDARD TYPES
ERTALON 6 SA natural (white)/black PA 6
This material offers an optimal mixture of mechanical resistance, rigidity, durability, the ability to damp vibrations and resistance to grinding. The properties along with the ability of electric insulation and good chemical resistance make ERTALON 6 SA, the “general use” product, suitable for mechanical constructions and for spare parts.
ERTALON 66 SA natural (cream)/black PA 66
Material with higher mechanical resistance, rigidity, resistance to creep, but its impact resistance and the ability to damp are reduced. It is suitable for mechanical working on automatic lathes.
ERTALON 66 SA-C natural (white) PA 66/6
ERTALON 66 SA-C, modified polyamide 66, offers a well-equipped mixture of special properties of PA 6 and PA 66:mechanical and impact resistance (PA 6)
rigidity and resistance to heat deflection under load (PA 66).
ERTALON 6 PLA natural (ivory) PA 6G
Properties of this type of nylon for casting are similar to ERTALON 66 SA properties. Its processing technology (direct polymerization in the mould) allows for the manufacture of large profiles as well as casts on request requiring slight working.
ERTALON LFX (green) PA 6G
ERTALON LFX is a nylon 6 greased internally for casting and is self-greased in the real sense of this word.
ERTALON LFX especially designed for applications in non-greased mobile parts, allows for considerable increase of the possibilities of using nylon. It has reduced friction rate (-50%) and improved resistance to grinding (10 times better).

APPLICATIONS
ERALTON is used for manufacture of a wide range of industrial details both for manufacture of original parts and spare parts.
A few examples: sleeves and slide bearings, grinding inserts, support and guide wheels, transporter rollers, tension rollers, sleeves of wheels and rollers, pulleys and pulley lining, cams, spring nuts, hammers, scrapers, gear wheels, teeth of gear wheels, packing rings, lead-screws, star crosses, cutting and chopping boards, insulators, etc.
